Our farm is located in the region of es Raiguer, a fertile plain located in the center-north of the island at the foot of the Tramuntana, a UNESCO world heritage site.
The building dates from the second half of the 19th century, it was the home of the owners and family, as well as other dependencies for agricultural use. For approximately the next 100 years, they continued to make reforms and add dependencies for agricultural use. The upper floor was dedicated for many years to the storage of grain for food and seeds for planting.
At the beginning of the 70’s, it was left empty until in 2005 we started the works to convert it into a hostel. In the last decades we have been building new units, destined both for lodging and for the farm’s agricultural exploitation.
Currently the building consists of about 1000m2 divided into 2 floors and a total area of 160,000 m2, where a flock of sheep graze and various animals inhabit. The building has been renovated and modernized with the construction of spacious rooms; all different from each other and totally respecting the old and thick stone walls.
We are 2.8 km from the town of Binissalem, a quiet and beautiful municipality with numerous well-deserved wine cellars and a mandatory stop on the Wine Route. This small family-run establishment has applied all the technologies that we consider a modern hotel should have, such as DTT, satellite with international channels and WIFI, as well as A / C and heating. Thinking about the environment and ecology, we installed double glazing and hermetic closing of all doors and windows. It was completed as a rural hotel in 2010. Next to the main house we have an orchard where we collect most of the vegetables and some fruits for the hotel kitchen that you can taste in our restaurant, the specialty is Mallorcan cuisine made daily. Our philosophy is that our clients feel comfortable enjoying a pleasant and quiet stay in a place surrounded by nature and rural style with a typical cuisine and taste the wines of the area with Binissalem designation of origin. This area is ideal for lovers of cycling and hiking.
Binissalem is a privileged land full of life and history in the center of the island and surrounded by vineyards, where the Romans in 121 BC introduced the culture and production of wine. Recognized since 1990, the DO Binissalem is currently located in fourteen wineries and in five different municipalities: Santa María del Camí, Consell, Binissalem, Santa Eugenia and Sencelles. In the wine production, native grape varieties are used, such as Mantonegro, Callet or the white Moll, which give the character and uniqueness to the DO Binissalem wines, along with other foreign varieties with which they complement each other. It is ideal to do at your leisure by car or bicycle or with the Wine Express, a small tourist train that visits several vineyards and wineries where the tastings take place. Each of the towns that make up the region, has its own personality and character and offers visitors a good sample of traditional architecture, crafts and gastronomy. Among the fairs in the area, the Harvest Festival in Binissalem (Festa des Vermar) stands out, which takes place at the end of September.
