old islamic farm of ullaro in campanet

Ullaró, was one of the original Moorish farmhouses that was here when the Catalans conquered Mallorca (1229-1232).

Between the thirteenth and fourteenth century, Ullaró was divided into several properties to accommodate a growing community. One of these properties, was the Can Garreta, home to the most influential family in the whole area. You will see the entrance to the fancy Can Garreta across the street from Ullaró where the chapel is also situated.

The old chapel was built in 1687, and was in function until the early nineteenth century, when the new chapel was built.
