Carved into the rocky walls
On the way in / out of Santa Eugènia, towards Ses Olleries to the south, you will find the entrance to one of the many hidden treasures, namely the cave of Cueva de Lourdes.
You step behind an iron gate, in the great wall attachment that runs along the road, and heading steeply up the 100 stone steps until you reach the cave in the rock wall.
Cueva de Lourdes, was inaugurated in 1920, when a wooden sculpture of the Virgin Mary was set up at the initiative of the priest, Mateu Coll Rubí.
In 1942, a statue of Saint Bernadette added.
Every year on February 11 held a public worship in the Cueva de Lourdes.
