Time to inhale the magic scents of spring and summer during the spring fair of Manacor
Starting this weekend, Manacor inaugurates the annual spring fair to celebrate summer and local traditions. You should come by Manacor to experience the special mallorquin atmosphere, as these kinds of festivities shows the true unity of the people. The spring fair will be held between May 26 and June 4, all week various events and happenings will be executes all over the city.

Spring and summer has come, and Manacor welcomes the lighter times by celebrating its traditional Spring Fair in town. At the inauguration, you must see the traditional Mallorcan dancing group ‘els Cossiers’ dancing through town telling the story of the devil retying to deceive a group of children to join his evil agenda.
At 20:00 h, the director of healthcare in eastern Mallorca, Catalina Vadell Nadal, will give the honorable inauguration speech officially opening the festivities.
Throughout the fair, various cultural activities has been planned such as sports competitions, parades of the famous Mallorcan giants, culinary tastings and this year a special focus on wine. A great chance to taste the exquisite wines of Bodega Son Sureda, situated just outside of Manacor.

Spring fair highlights for visitors
Saturday May 27, is the first full day of the spring fair, and a day that is perhaps mostly aimed for the culture interested natives in Manacor, with literature awards, readings and various art exhibitions of local artists.
On Sunday May 28, Manacor turns into an agricultural scene with exhibitions of dogs, horses and other farm animals. You can browse the many market stalls, offering traditional crafts and tools from artisans of Manacor.
Also on Sunday, the florists in Manacor will be doing visual storytelling of fabels in Manacor using flowers on the shutters of buildings.Sunday ends with a big dance show held in Placa Ramon Llull.
The grand finale of the spring fair in Manacor will be on June 4, when a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants participate in serving special menus and dishes from the local Manacor cuisine.

Santuari de Lluc is a monastery situated deep in the highest areas of the Tramuntana, in divine natural surroundings. Lluc is a great attraction for everyone, you can discover the ethnological museum, enjoy a concert by the famous child choir, visit the botanical gardens and see the holy Madonna.
La Granja

A visit to the ethnological museum of La Granja in the mountain village of Esporles takes you on an interesting journey back in time to discover how life in mallorca was for the wealthy landowners and their servants. La Granja is a museum suitable for all ages, there is plenty to see and do here for young and adults.
Sa Dragonera

Sa Dragonera is an island and protected nature reserve just off the coast of Sant Elm, Andratx. Sa Dragonera is home to indigenious lizards that are very human-friendly, and has become a trademark of Mallorca. Almudaina Palace
