Manacor is the second largest city in Mallorca with a population of some 40,000 inhabitants. Manacor is both a city and a municipality, which includes popular summer holiday destinations like Portocolom, Porto Cristo, Costa del Pins and Cala Millor.

For decades, Manacor has been well-known for its furniture production and agriculture. Back in the late 1800’s, Manacor was actually a great wine production area but after the phylloxera attack that destroyed most of the wine stocks in southern Europe, Manacor forever turned away from wine production.

Manacor is an area of great cultural heritage whether you enjoy walking, cycling or driving. Within the city borders you can indulge in a wealth of impressive architectural monuments and structures. Out and about in the municipality, you can explore some of the most remarkable excavations of prehistoric villages made in the Balearic islands.
