SANTUARI DE SANT SALVADOR

Situated on a mountain top of 544 meter above sea level, the convent of Sant Salvador offers one of the most divine panoramic views of the east coast in the entire Migjorn region. Sant Salvador is a popular destination amongst cyclists because of the steep curvy road leading to the top, but also amongst walkers who take the old pilgrimage path starting at the feet of the mountain following the 12 stations of via crucis. MONDRAGÓ NATURE PARK

The Mondragó park is a piece of paradise located in the south-eastern corner of Mallorca. CABRERA ISLAND

An excursion to the island and nature reserve of Cabrera is a great way to try something different and really get some fresh air in your hair. Cabrera is the largest of a small group of islands south of Mallorca that takes about 4 hours to get to by boat. These islands together makes up the protected nature reserve of same name, and it is prohibited to sail here without permission. The last time Cabrera was inhabited, was during the Spanish civil war when the fortress on the island was used as a prison. The old medieval fortress is exciting to exlpore itself of course, but the nature out here along with the many breathtaking viewpoints, is simply indescribable. On your way to Cabrere, you will also sail to the hidden cave called “Cueva Azul”  (Blue Cave). This day excursion is for you who really want to explore nature at its finest.

CAPOCORP VELL

Mallorca and Menorca are famous for their Talatyotic periods, which was about 3,000 BC. The period got its name because of the unique constructions the people of its time built to form villages with habitations and temples for worshipping gods. Talayots are round constructions with a massive pillar in the middle. The Talayots would typically be about 20 meters high and function both as watchtowers and as a room where the tribe would sit in a circle. These Talayots and prehistoric villages are exciting to explore, especially because they are so unique and rare. The biggest and most interesting in the Migjorn region, is the Capocorp Vell prehistoric village. Here, you can see one of the biggest Talayots on the island and the impressive excavations of the entire prehistoric village around it including burial sites, habitations and barracks. The entrance is about €3 and you will see and learn something new and different.
