Things to do in Font de sa Cala
Head up to the nearby Cala Ratjada to find one of the stables where you can rent a horse and join an amazing excursion on a horseback. Castell de Capdepera
One of the most well-preserved and historical castles is situated just a short drive from Font de sa Cala, the impressive Capdepera castle. The fortress was erected in the early 14th century shortly after the Catalan conquest of the archipelago, to guard the coast and protect the new settlers of the island after centuries of Moorish domination. At the castle you can discover how life was hundreds of years ago, as well as enjoy the magical views of the coastline from the old watchtowers.

Torre de Canyamel
Torre de Canyamel is an old fortress dating from the late Middle Ages when the area was divided by private landowners. It was set up as a refuge for the population to seek to in times of crisis. Nowadays the fortress is an exhibition space with changing collections on display. Next to the tower is a great restaurant worth trying.

The Sant Salvador church is one of the most emblematic and iconic buildings in the northeastern part of Mallorca. It is situated at the summit of the holy hill of Artà, and you will need to climb a 180 step stairway to reach it. The church was originally built on the site of a Moorish mosque, but was destroyed in the 19th century after being used as a hospital for victims of a terrible plague. The church is surrounded by a fortified wall dating from the Middle Ages and used for protecting the population. From the church you can enjoy the most amazing views of the area and Artà town.

Public transport to/from Font de sa Cala
There is no bus stop in the small town. However, you can head to nearby Capdera or Cala Ratjada to catch line 411 towards Palma or line 441 towards Cuevas del Drach.
