Sant Salvador

The Sant Salvador church is one of the most emblematic and iconic buildings in the northeastern part of Mallorca. It is situated at the summit of the holy hill of Artà, and you will need to climb a 180 step stairway to reach it. The church was originally built on the site of a Moorish mosque, but was destroyed in the 19th century after being used as a hospital for victims of a terrible plague.
