On one of these two, the impressive old fortress Castell d'Alaró is situated, a fotress inhabited since prehistoric times, and furthermore, a fortress which has had direct influence on the Mallorca you know today.

Alaró is home to a great attraction, the Castell d’Alaró, located on top of the mountain looking over Alaró. This amazing old fortress, offers panoramic views all over Majorca.

When in Alaró, you are pretty close to everything, but you’re going to need a vehicle of some kind, or very strong legs. Short drives from here, you should visit the Santuari de Lluc, or the city of Inca.

The restaurants and cafes in Alaró, serves a great combination between traditional Majorcan cousine and internation favourites. Mainly the cafes around the center square, is a place to look for town life and something for all tongues.

Alaró felt a breeze of fame, when the resaturant Es Verger, suddenly got some media attention. The reason was, that the restaurant offers only traditional Majorcan dishes, and you sit on long benches, in the rustic old stone building. It just doesn’t get more authentic than this!
