Lloret de Vistalegre, in daily speak just Lloret, is a small and cozy village set in the rural countryside in the very heart of Mallorca. Lloret was up until the beginning of the 20th century a part of Sineu, but due to a growing congregation and rising income from agriculture the small community was allowed to separate themselves.

Lloret is not in any way affected by the mass tourism other destinations on the island experiences, although Mondays at the weekly market, the town fills up with curious visitors.

In the centre of the village you will find a good handful of local bars and cafeterias offering typical Spanish and Mediterranean dishes and refreshments.

Eating locally in Lloret means Sobrassada sausage with honey, Paella a la mallorquina, lamb chops, pork and various grilled vegetables.

Lloret is not a place listed in your typical tourist brochure, actually, Lloret isn’t really listed many places. This is what makes Lloret such an exclusive rural escape, you have to go for a local holiday rental, like a finca or town flat in the village.

The es Pla region is characterized by its flat landscapes, with contrasting green hills and small mountains giving the roads some elevation. On top of these hills and mountains, it is not unusual to find old monasteries and excellent viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the entire heart of Mallorca.
