The parish church of Inca, the amazing Santa Maria church, is a the literally the biggest sight of Inca.
In the area around the church, a range of great cafes and restaurants are situated, offering stunning views of this church with its spectacular bell tower.
The first church of Inca, was originally built on top of a former Arab mosque that was right here when the Moors ruled Mallorca. The present construction, took almost 200 years to build, in the years between 1706 and 1902.
Just as beautiful this church is from the outside, just as beautiful is it on the inside. Please notice the painted panels, made by Joan Daurer in 1373.
Inside the church, you will also find a small church museum, exhibiting religious painting and arts, collected from medieval times in Inca.
On the backside of the church, you will find the rectory and the Plaça Orient, where the old graveyard of Inca used to be.
