Museu ses Voltes, is a museum situated in front of the Palma cathedral, open and free to the public.
The museum is exhibiting different artists and works, related to the history and culture of Palma. Moreover, the museum is hosting a range of cultural event throughout the year.
The name ses Voltes, derives from the old name of the city wall that was protecting Palma. The constructions was created by the military architect, Manuel Santander, in the years between 1771 and 1801. At that time, the ses Voltes buildings was used as barracks for soldiers.
In 1985, the ses Voltes building was bought by the municipality of Palma and made a cultural scene for everyone to enjoy.
