This is a perfect example of the traditional hydraulic system, located on the right side of the freeway leading towards Petra when departing from Ariany.
The well of Bo is built on top the middle of a small platform, the curbs are made of sandstone and shaped in a rectangular section with doorjambs that form a design with four semi-circular arches, one on each side. It has a deep interior with masonry walls.
The construction of the well probably derives all the way back to the middle ages based on the architecture, however, in many cases with these old wells and hydraulic systems, they actually go much further back in time.
There has later been constructed a stone ground and stone benches around the well, so that cyclists and hikers can sit and enjoy this wonderful piece of cultural heritage.
