This little town house, is one of the most famous singular buildings in Sineu.
Can Gili, is probably among the oldest houses in Sineu, built in the 13th century after the reconquest of Majorca.
The name of this building, derives from Pere Gili, mayor of Sineu between 1396 – 1409. 100 years later, the building belonged to Joan Gili, a leading member of the political rebel army, The Brotherhood.
Above the main entrance of the building, you see the crest of the Gili family, a so called ‘coronella‘.
Can Gili is a rather small house, but inside the building, the current owner has opened a small gallery, exhibiting art from medieval times.
