A little history
The area around Alcúdia, was the former capital of Mallorca, namely the Roman city of Pollentia. Centuries after the Roman empire lost Mallorca, the Moors came to the island and settled many farms here.
Alcúdia, got its name from the old Moorish farm situated called Al-Qudiya, meaning ‘on the hill’.
Today, Alcúdia enjoys life as the main holiday destination for families with children.
