Josep Coll Bardolet (1912 – 2007), settled in Valldemossa in 1944 to find inspiration from the most beautiful attributes of Mallorca, for his paintings.
The Coll Bardolet foundation, was established and financed by the Balearic government, because his works have had a such great influence on the island’s image and cultural heritage.
The Coll Bardolet foundation, is situated in a 3 story building in the heart of Valldemossa, completely renovated in 2005. On the first floor, a great collection of Call Bardolet’s best works are exhibited. See the beautiful nature paintings, the Mallorcan folk dancers and the many symphonies of wild Mediterranean flowers unfold in playful ways.
On the 2nd floor, you can enjoy a big exhibition hall dedicated to various Balearic artists. The ground floor is used for conferences, lectures and special cultural events.
