Torre de Cala Pi is a beautiful and iconic ancient defense and observation tower, located in the tranquil Cala Pi area, on the southeast coast of Llucmajor.
The watchtower was erected in 1663, in a time when Mallorca was facing the threat of the Ottoman forces and Berber corsairs.
Torre de Cala Pi is strategically situated on the cliffs off Cala Pi, where the ancient tower still stands with its 10 meters today.
In 1970, the tower was renovated by architect Antoni Alomar.
