Torre de sa Mola de Tuent is an ancient observation tower overlooking the bays of Cala Tuent and Cala Fotude on the west coast of the Tramuntana, from its position at 472 meters above sea level.
The tower was constructed in the middle of the 16th century as a response to the many raids on Mallorca from corsairs paid by the Ottoman empire.
At the feet of the hill you will find the old primitive church of Sant Llorenç that dates from 1276 and later renovated in the 16th century.
The walk to Torre de sa Mola de Tuent is a difficult one, with a lot of challenges and sometimes unmarked paths, it is a walk for the experienced.
