Why visit Estellencs

Things to do in Estellencs

Close to Estellencs, on the road leading to Banyalbufar, you will find the emblematic old watchtower, Torre es Verger. Torre es Verger has become a trademark of this area, and is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful tower constructions on the island. The tower can be accessed all day long, and there is no entrance fee.

During the 16th century, Mallorca experienced many attacks from pirates and soldiers from the kingdom of Ottoman. In order to to protect and guard the island, a network of watchtowers was established along the coastlines. Torre del Verger is one of the most well-preserved towers from this period. From the tower you can enjoy the impressive panoramic view of the ever green slopes and sapphire coastline.
