Puigpunyent isn’t a big village by any means, hence you won’t find a bunch of shops. A small supermarket, a bank and a pharmacy is about it.
However, every Saturday morning, there’s a market held in the center of the village where you can sample local produce, such as fresh fruits, sausages and cheeses.

If you come to Puigpunyent or the village of Galilee during February / March, you can look forward to experiencing the charming mountain villages in all colors. It’s time for this year’s carnival, which is similar to our Shrove Tuesday. Here the children are put in focus and a lot of activities are arranged to make the week fun.

Eco-fair
The eco-fair in Puigpunyent is intended as an event that will focus on ecology, sustainability and the importance of taking care of Mallorca’s nature and agricultural traditions. At the fair, you can sample the many stands and stalls selling local organic products and handicrafts. Here is typically also a lot of good entertainment to set the mood, such as live music, folk dancing and gastronomic experiences.

On September 8, the village of Galilea celebrates the Virgin Mary with a big village party where a variety of cultural activities are on the program. There is always a glorious intense atmosphere in the charming little village, worth stopping by for if you are nearby.

Craft Beer is truly something that in recent years has won its way into the hearts of Mallorcans. Both Palma, Artà, Cala Sant Vicenc and now also Puigpunyent hold an annual craft beer festival for beer enthusiasts. People from near and far flock here to taste unique beers and enjoy the glorious atmosphere and the many entertainment features throughout the days.

Due to its fabulous location deep in Serra de Tramuntana, Puigpunyent is an obvious choice of base for a hiking holiday. There are a number of trails leading about in the lush mountain valleys and to breathtaking viewpoints.
The closest beaches to Puigpunyent are those located in the Palma bay: Cala Major (20 km), Palmanova (25 km) and Magaluf (27 km).
