Can Manera de la Costa, was home of the very wealthy Manera de la Costa family from Montuïri, and is a great example of manor houses in the urbanized rural areas.
Can Manera de la Costa, can be dated back to the 15th century. The house has two floors, and the main entrance of the house is crowned by an arch giving it the feel of a true manor house.
To the left of the main entrance, on the first floor, you will see a renaissance window from the 16th century, with the Manera de la Costa coat of arms in it.
Back during medieval times, the most wealthy families of Mallorca, lived in the rural areas of the islands, where they typically owned land.
