The medieval market takes place on the third weekend of May each year at the Castell de Capdepera castle. This well-preserved fortress provides an ideal backdrop for the event, allowing the town to “transport” itself back in time to a medieval stronghold. The village comes alive as people don period clothing, and the streets are filled with vibrant colors, resonant sounds, and captivating aromas, evoking the spirit of the Middle Ages.

There is an abundance of activities to enjoy during the medieval market in Capdepera. The locals, for instance, engage in the art of painting wooden shields, representing their family heraldry, which are proudly displayed on windows and balconies throughout the town.
