Mallorca increases number of public airport bus lines in 2018

In 2017, the Balearic government introduced new bus lines going from the airport of Sant Joan to popular tourist destinations such as Cala Millor, Alcúdia and Palmanova. In 2018, holidaymakers can expect even more airport buses and new routes to be effectuated.

Public transportation from Palma airport a major succes amongst holidaymakers on Mallorca

The new airport bus lines introduced in 2016, allowing holidaymakers to hop on a public bus from Palma airport and transport them directly to popular holiday destinations on the coasts have been a major success. Between May and October, more than 155.000 holidaymakers took advantage of the new transportation initiative introduced by the Balearic government.

Because of the positive response from guests arriving in Palma, the government now confirms that the public airport buses will again next year service holidaymakers arriving in Palma airport. Moreover, even a new bus line will be introduced from May 2018, the line between the airport and the popular holiday destination of Cala Ratjada, which is growing more popular every year.

Thje Balearic government also want to promote this service at international travel fairs, especially the Travel Market in London, the ITB in Berlin and the Fitur in Madrid.
