The Houses of Sun, are splendid examples of typical Mallorcan civil architecture seen in the Tramuntana mountains
These houses pays special awe to the sun, as the sun always shines on them.
Notice the inscriptions and painted tiles on the facades of the houses, these are meant to keep the houses protected from evil spirits and other bad things.
This neighbourhood is located behind the main road passing through Esporles, but they are very easy to find and access. However, please do respect the locals, so don’t walk in on their properties. Take a few photos and move on.
