Gran Hotel Sóller

This spectacular building was designed by famous architect, Joaquín Pavía Birmingham, whom was also the brain behind the beautiful Balearic government building next to city hall in Palma.

The Gran Hotel building compliments many of Sóller’s other beautiful architectural gems, with its modernism style and neo-Gothic facades.

In the 1960s, the palace was first time in use as a hotel. In the decades prior to this, the previous owners had used the back-end of the building as a shoe manufacturing facility. Later, in the 70s, the hotel was closed and bought by the town council to be used as a cultural center for Sóller.
