From a time when Mallorca wasn’t a safe place to live
Torre de na Seca is an ancient watchtower built in the years from 1582-84, on the massif of same name in 514 meters altitude.
The tower was a part of the extensive network of defense towers erected on the island due to the threat of the Ottoman navy and corsairs arriving from North Africa.
The tower was guarded by one watchman, and communicated with the towers of Picada (Port de Sóller) and sa Mola de Tuent (Escorca) using smoke signals.
From its position you can enjoy the magical views over the bay and the valley of Bàlitx d’Avall.
