Camp de Mar is a small and rather secluded holiday resort on the Mallorcan southwest coast. The resort offers three small beaches, a handful of hotels and a great location between the cliffs.
Camp de Mar tend to attract couples, either mature or those traveling with infants, as there are no nightclubs here.
Camp de Mar is located approximately 20 minutes from Palma by car, and has great access to infrastructure.

Camp de Mar is a great place for a lot of fun and relaxing leisure activities, such as golfing, beach activities, cycling etc.
If you are planning on getting something seen during your stay, I would advice to to rent a car for a day or two. In the receptions at the hotels, there’s an information desk, from where you can order and arrange bus charters to popular tourist attractions all over the island.
Take advantage of your location at the feet of the dramatic and stunning Tramuntana range, and go for a catamaran cruise around the coastline. During the boat trip, you will pass some of the hidden gems that regular tourists does not see, and you’ll get to swim in lagoons of crystal clear water where you can see to the bottom from 30 meters above. The catamaran departures from the pier in Camp de Mar several times a day and you may choose how many hours you want to be gone. This is a refreshing and beautiful experience that you should do here.
Enjoy a game of golf at the stunning Golf d’Andratx 18-hole course situated close to Camp de Mar. The course offers challenges for every handicap, as well as some of the most impressive designs full of lakes, fruit trees, palms, flowers and even free range animals. Regardless if you are a experienced or semi-pro, the Golf d’Andratx course is a must try.
Close to Camp de Mar, on the rocky hills separating the many coves of the southwestern Mallorca, you will find the Liedtke art museum. Here, you can indulge in a delicious Mediterranean style brunch accompanied by the sweet tunes of the band or solo artist playing in the background while you enjoy yourself. CCA (Centre of Contemporary Arts) is one of the biggest exhibition spaces in Mallorca solely dedicated to contemporary arts. The museum is situated in an old charming finca in the outskirts of Andratx with the Tramuntana rising in the background. CCA offers various exhibitions, as well as events and activities for all ages, it is a great attraction if you have interest in art.
Camp de Mar offers three wonderful beaches, each with their own special appeal. In total, the beaches of Camp de Mar extends to 364 meters in length, all with low crystal clear water.
Andratx is the main town of the municipality, found just a short drive from Camp de Mar. Andratx is a charming town with rustic house facades, pots with flowers on the streets and many local shops to explore. There are also a few places of interest you should have a look at, for example the Son Mas estate built as a fortress with watchtower housing the town hall. At Son Mas, you can visit the free art exhibition of contemporary art. There is also the great fortified church of Santa Maria with its massive exterior and beautiful treasures inside. Andratx is best visited on Wednesdays, as the weekly market is held on this day. At the market, you can browse through hundreds of stalls and sample some local specialties while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of tourists and locals mingling and bargaining.
Cycling is a sport that is increasing in popularity and, Mallorca is the perfect place to do this sport. The weaving mountain roads of the Tramuntana hugging the cliffs with their hairpin turns and steep gradients, makes cycling both fun and challenging. Camp de Mar is an amazing area for cycling because you have the waterside offering fresh breezes and incredible views.
There is no better way to explore the scenic Tramuntana than by hiking your way through this incomparable UNESCO world heritage site. Discover the Balearic wildlife and take in the impressive views from the many vantage points in the mountains, as you make your way through the many hiking trails available.
Port d’Andratx is known as one of the most exclusive and lavish areas of Mallorca, a place that possess both natural beauty and some of the most expensive properties in Spain. Celebrities such as Brat Pitt, Claudia Schiffer and Kim Schumacher have all purchased property in Port d’Andratx along with many other prominent figures. Enjoy a nice lunch at one of the many bars and restaurants along the marina and roam the small shopping streets for designer clothes and jewelry. If you’re more into culture or walking, go see the church of Carmen or the medieval watchtower of Sant Carles.
The old watchtower of Sant Carles is overlooking the entire bay where Port d’Andratx is located in. It was built back in the 1500’s as a guard against pirates and other hostile intruders.
Camp de Mar is located approx. 38 km (~23 miles) from Palma airport.
The trip by taxi will take a little less than 30 minutes and cost about 45 – 50 euros.

During the summertime, Camp de Mar is a lively resort with a great mix of internationalities and ages. The beaches tend to get a little crowded, but with a nice vibrant atmosphere.
There are two annual events held in Camp de Mar, in June and again in September.
