Take advantage of your location at the feet of the dramatic and stunning Tramuntana range, and go for a catamaran cruise around the coastline. What are the best places to stay in Camp de Mar
Planning a night or two in Valldemossa? I love staying here, namely because I can wake up to the sight of green mountain landscape no matter where I turn my eyes.
My best recommendation for staying in Valldemossa is the Mirabó hotel, which for me has it all; great location, friendly service and all needed amenities.
Eating out in Camp de Mar
Camp de Mar is a smaller resort town – and designed as a resort town – which is why there are no authentic restaurants and tapas bars in the town. In fact, the dining options in Camp de Mar are limited to those in the hotels, as are many of the town’s other pubs.
A good alternative is to take the short trip to Port d’Andratx, where there are a number of good restaurants and eateries, several of them with views over the beautiful harbour and bay.
Shopping in Camp de Mar
You will find a number of small local shops that sell everything from souvenirs to perfume, there are probably a dozen of them in total. There is also of course a mini-supermarket, pharmacy and bank.
For shopping, most people take the short trip to Port d’Andratx, or the trip into Palma and get a real shopping trip out of it, when they want to smell or buy must-haves to take home from their holiday. Shopping in Port d’Andratx offers several foreign clothing designers who have their stores on the harbour promenade, a very exclusive environment.
