Is Sant Elm worth visiting?
Sant Elm is a great place to visit during a day trip and, chances are that you actually might find yourself on these borders during your trip to Mallorca are high, especially if you plan to visit the island and nature reserve of Sa Dragonera. Most trips crossing the strait to Sa Dragonera launch from the port of Sant Elm. Dragonera is a protected nature reserve with many marked walking routes leading about in the scenic nature to breathtaking viewpoints. Dragonera is also home to the Balearic lizards. You may have seen products with images of these lizards in supermarkets or souvenir shops, well, now you can actually meet them. The trip from Sant Elm to Dragonera takes about 20 minutes.

One of Mallorca’a biggest and most renown exhibition spaces in the subject of contemporary art, is the CCA Andratx (Centre of Comtemporary Art). The art museum is situated in an impressive old finca in beautiful natural settings near the old town of Andratx. As well as the many changing exhibitions, CCA also offer a wide selection of activities and event to indulge in.

There are only two hotels in Sant Elm, both located with direct access to the lovely Blue Flag beach.

Personaly, I LOVE eating by the sea, it enhances the experience of being away on holiday, the freedom. In Sant Elm, many of the eateries are located near the seafront.
If you are looking for more fine dining options, head to nearby Port d’Andratx where you’ll find a wide array of restaurants like Verico og Trepaís.
Shopping in Sant Elm
Browsing local products and fun souvenirs to bring back home is always a interesting, and in Sant Elm you’ll find just that.
Don’t expect to find high-end brands or large stores, but instead look forward to explore smaller shops with mixed product catalogues of local and international items.
Events in Sant Elm
Festes de Sant Elm
During the first two weeks of August, the charming fishing village of Sant Elm celebrates its patron saint, Catalina Tomàs. You can look forward to a large number of fun and cultural events and activities held all over the village. One of the main events during this festival, is the reenactment of a battle between Moors and Christians held at the beach.

The first tourists arrive during springtime, mainly active visitors coming to enjoy the magic scenery by bike or hiking.
If you are here for the Blue Flag beach and some lazing under the Mediterranean sun, the season peaks from June to September.
Location and how to get to Sant Elm
Sant Elm is located some 50 km from Palma airport.
Most of the road here is pretty straight-forward, just hit the MA-20/MA-1 to Andratx. From here you simply follow the signs to Sant Elm. The ride should take you about 50 minutes, sometimes a little less and sometimes a little more. There are some narrow passages in hilly terrain, but nothing that should scare you.
If you choose a taxi, the fare will be about 70 euro.
