Torre de Cala Figuera was built in the years between 1579 and 1582 and is located on the rocky peninsula of Cap de Cala Figuera, on the southernmost tip below Magaluf and Sol de Mallorca.
The tower, together with the towers, Torre des Morro, Torre de Rafeubetx and Torre de Malgrat, was part of a defense system along the southwest coast, against pirate attacks.
Torre de Cala Figuera is located approx. 30 meters above sea level, which gave the guard a good overview of the two surrounding small bays, Es Mular, Cala Figuera, Cala en Sopa and of course the bay of Palma.
The route out here is easy and can be done by all fitness levels.
