The parish church of Sant Miquel rises above the cozy Placa Major in Campanet
This is the second church temple of Campanet. The first, was the small chapel of Sant Miquel situated north of the town itself.
The work of the construction, began in 1717 on initiative of the rector, Miquel Martí Tamorer, and finished in 1774.
Campanet, was one of the later formed municipalities of Mallorca. The town was under the same parish as Búger and Ullaró, and the three communities had to share the Sant Miquel church, which was highly inconvenient for all, especially the elderly.
The main facade, is typical for Mallorcan churches, made in Baroque style and finished in limestone. The inscription above says 1737, right under the relief of Virgin Mary.
