The caves was first explored in the year of 1906, and archaeologists suggests that they have been used for habitation.
Cuevas de Genova, are some 40 meters deep, and thanks to the new owner, who put a lot of money into a renovation of the caves, you can now explore more than 3 km of underground paths.
Cuevas de Genova, are the smallest of the many stalactite caves in Mallorca, and also the least busy.
It’s a great little side-attraction to explore while visiting Palma de Mallorca. You will also find a restaurant associated with the caves.
