Ca’n Epifani is a beautiful modernist manor designed by Antoni Gaudi
Can Epifani is situated between Carrer Pou Nou and Carrer de les Figueretes, not far from the staircase leading to the Sant Salvador church. It is the most emblematic and impressive Modernist building of Artà!
It was built in 1880, with the patronage of Mr. Epifani Fàbregues (hereof the name). According to legend, Antoni Gaudí designed the facade of the building, because of his close friendship with the owner.
Worth highlighting is the unique undulated facade with its round arch apertures, excepting the entrance portal with lintel. The protected walls are decorated with horizontal stripes of yellowish color.
Nowadays, it has been converted into a luxury hotel, preserving its Modernist essence in its facade as well as inside.
