In the very center of the square, you will see a fountain that was raised just a few years ago, symbolizing the light of Búger that is also seen in the coat of arms.
The town hall building, in local mouths known as “sa Sala”, is an example of regionalism in architecture from the early 1900’s. The building was finished and opened in 1952.
The square of Búger, was first time mentioned in 1598, as a fertile place of hackberries. Again in 1880, during the travels of Archduke of Luis Salvador, it is mentioned in his work ‘Die Balearen’, as ‘The place of light and rocky horizon’.
