Ermita de Santa Magdalena

Up here you will enjoy the views over Inca, with the dramatic Tramuntana rising in the horizon.

This old hermitage, can be dated all the way back to the 13th century.

The first inhabitants of this place, was a group of hermits who moved here in the late 13th century.

Up through the 15th and 16th century, various religious orders occupied the hermitage. The last of these, was the Hieronymites nuns who was moved to the Sant Bartomeu convent in 1534.

Between 1566 and 1784, Santa Magdalena serviced as a religious school.

In modern times, only a group of missionaries has had the place between 1931 – 1985.

There is a panoramic restaurant up here, where you can enjoy a refreshment or lunch.
