Cruise from Port de Sóller to Port de Calobra
From: €32
Sa Calobra has several times been praised as one of the most scenic and beautiful areas of Mallorca, or as we say these days, very instagrammable!
The trip to sa Calobra is just as memorable as the picturesque cove itself, with a road full of sharp hairpin curves that descends more than 800 metres in just 12 kilometres.
Tip! If you come here before 10 o’clock (am) or after 5 pm, there will be much less crowded as all the coaches are gone.
Sa Calobra can be reaches in multiple ways. You can drive by car or bicycle along the curvy road yourself, you can find a tour operator that arranges trips here, you can sail here from Port de Sóller, or, you can walk here following one of the many marked routes.
If you drive by car or bicycle, please do show high precaution as here tend to be a lot of traffic and not much space.
At Port de sa Calobra, you will find a handful of bars and restaurants, all nicely situated allowing for stunning views while enjoying a refreshment or lunch.
From Port de sa Calobra, you can enjoy a wonderful little walk to the beach and canyon of Torrent de Pareis. The two areas are connected by an illuminated tunnel leading through the rocks.
As you enter the canyon on the other side, the first thing you will notice is the majestic rocky formations creating a gate between the mountains and the cove with a small sandy beach at the bottom. This beach is very popular.
Inside the canyon, you will notice the river (if there is water in it), this is Torrent de Pareis, as “torrent” means river. Torrent de Pareis is one of the largest in Mallorca, it starts all the way high up in the mountains in the area close to Puig Major, which is the highest point in Serra de Tramuntana.
Walkers and hikers love Torrent de Pareis, it offers some of the most dramatic and rugged terrains, and at the same time some of the most breathtaking views.
Regardless if you are into exploring nature, beaching, walking, cycling or sailing, sa Calobra and Torrent de Pareis is something you must see at least once!
